Emily Elise is an illustrator working out of her home studio in downtown Toronto.

Her illustrations are a reflection of the organic interplay between feminism, mysticism, nature, and the occult. Emily draws inspiration from the animism of nature, women’s inherent connection with the earth and the prophetic and surreal essence of the dream-state and subconscious mind. She infuses these themes into her work by synthesizing familiar symbols with playful patterns and otherworldly imagery, creating decorative and highly stylized compositions.

Emily’s artistic toolbox encompasses a range of media, from traditional print-making (carving, pressing, stamping) to paint (mural painting, gouache, acrylic, watercolour) to digital art that is crafted with a hand-rendered feel bursting with texture and dimension.
